I have been looking at these beautiful coats since awhile and am very happy to say I now have one! My husband got it for me. I absolutely LOVE it and its entire design/features!
The coat looks very nice and the quality is good. I appreciate the size chart shows the shoulder width. I ordered medium size based on measurement, but just in case I also ordered the large size because I have big shoulders. The medium size fitted me except the shoulder as I thought. The hood is adjustable and secures dryness. I love the color which is calm but not dull. There is a small brand name plate attached to the end of sleeve close to hand. The corners of the plate made me uncomfortable because it may scratch myself or something else. It could be just a print on the coat. Overall, it is a practical and fashionable coat.
The raincoat was a birthday gift for my daughter, a busy mom who lives in Paris. She loves the coat as it is perfect for the frequent rainy weather they get. Since I am from NL originally, I was proud to share this great product from my home province! And the colour looks amazing on my daughter.
I bought this coat for my wife's birthday. Thank goodness I gave it to her early. This is her, downtown Halifax waterfront, during what seemed to be a monsoon. He legs were satched but whatever that Mernini coat covered was bone dry. She's had many gotten jackets over the years but all failed. This is a keeper and the craftmanship is obvious. Knowing it's from NL makes this expat very proud. Well done Mernini

This is the best raincoat I've ever owned. The petite fit is great - it's long so covers most of your legs from the weather, the sleeves have built-in water-resistant wrist warmers which are great when there are heavy winds with rain, and the length of the sleeves are perfect if you're petite. The colour is also incredibly in person. I get compliments on this jacket every time I wear it. One of the best purchases I've made in 2026 by far!

I really wanted to love this - the style, length, colour, waterproofing and plus sizing were all things I was looking for - but the zipper seam was really bumpy on my chest and I just feel great in it. I'm grateful that the return process was very smooth, but flagging that the original shipping is not refunded, so you'll still spend $11 CAD to try it on if ordering within Canada.

It arrived on a rainy day on the west coast so I immediately put it to the test and it did not disappoint. Love the colour, the length, the hand protection and how dry it kept me. The magnetic closures are really convenient and just fun to use. LOVE this coat!

So far so good. Had to use it under pouring rain last week and I managed to stay completely dry. Good quality. Only comment would be that the hood doesn't cover the head enough; the visor should be longer.
Even nicer than i expected! The chive green is vibrant and very cheerful in the rain. The fabric is super soft which is very unusual in a raincoat. I got the petite version because I’m 5’2” and it’s a perfect length, several inches below my knees but not overly long. Love the cuffs with thumb holes! Such a thoughtful detail. It really is perfect!
I bought this coat for myself after reading many reviews. I waited for the Black Friday sale and then I ordered the coat. We have very wet weather in B. C. And thought this coat would be perfect for weather here. I have worn it for 2 days during several ferry trips and during an atmospheric river event. I ordered a size up to accompany a polar fleece and it is perfect!! LOVE the coat!!!

I love the fit and colour (chive).
I like the secure zipped pockets, magnetic snaps, cuffs, good fitting hood. I find the zipper very stiff to use. The coat could be more flared at the bottom. There is no phone pocket. NOWHERE is it indicated that a size M is actually a S-M (as I found out from the tag once the coat arrived). It is too tight to be a medium (even with the measurements provided on the site because they are not accurate.) Had I known it really was a S-M, I would have ordered a Large. This goes for the liner, too. This is a HUGE oversight on your part. So, neither the coat nor the liner fit my needs well.
Love this coat! I have a hobby farm and it repels hay and shavings like you wouldn’t believe! It’s so easy to throw on early in the morning with the magnets (sometimes zippers are hard before coffee).
The rain coat is great. I ordered the petite xs. I am 5'1" and the petite length is perfect.
It fits like a dream but could be a few inches shorter ( I am 5’ 1”) The finishing of the interior lining is great and the added liner vest is my favourite part
Showed up quickly and in perfect condition. This is my third one, I love them so much. I’m 5’3”. My first two were regular size. This one is petite. I love that. They only change is in length. That being said, I wish the sleeves were slightly longer and the hood a little smaller. I find I have to roll the edge of the hood up in order to see. I’ve still given this raincoat, a five because of the colour, style and workmanship. .

I live in Alberta and am from Newfoundland. I have never heard of this jacket until I was talking to my mother and she raved about them, how everyone has them. She thought I’d like it so I looked them up while on the phone with her and knew instantly I needed it. I ordered it and the package showed up empty in NB while in transit. I emailed Mernini to look into it and Maria got back to me right away, she had looked into it and this had never happened before. She apologized and sent me another package right away. The package did take some time to arrive, after travelling across the country, but was well worth the wait. While we don’t get many rain days here, the fall will be the perfect time to make use of this coat. I am 5’4”, 130 lbs, and purchased this jacket in petite size small, chive green. It is a generous fit and perfect for layering clothes underneath, with the length landing about mid to lower shin. It’s something that should last me a lifetime so well worth the price tag and support of a local business back home ❤️
I ordered a medium to surprise my wife on her birthday. Of course, she needed small. Maria was more than accommodating as I tried to arrange an exchange at the company's warehouse location. My wife now has her coat and she loves it!! Highly recommend for both the quality and customer service.
I originally received my order with a small rip on one of the sleeves. The exchange process was efficient and smooth, and I was impressed at how quick and communicative they were about it. For the coat itself, I absolutely love it! I'd been eyeing this coat ever since I was in search of a rain coat for general use and for my 12 day Newfoundland trip with some hiking involved, and it was definitely worth it for me. I tend to overheat, and the coat's been so nice as I can choose to layer without sweating in the rain. The back flap has a cotton mesh opening underneath which I found to be a really nice touch for not being sweaty in a rain coat. I'm 5'2~3" and the coat reaches about midway to my calves, which I find to be a perfect length. It's comfortable and feels good to wear, and I've gotten a lot of compliments since day 1 of wearing it - a few people have come up to ask what the brand was. Love the hood as it's big enough to cover my face but small enough that it doesn't get blown off by the wind. Before this coat, I had a water-resistant coat that would eventually bleed water through and I would feel damp. I wore this coat from 7am to 7pm on a full rainy day and the only parts of me that were wet was the parts not covered by the coat (i.e. bottom 1/4 of my pants). Overall, love love love this coat! I'd recommend it with good conscious to anyone!

Why is the two-way front zipper important?
The 2-way zipper is especially important for long coats and is designed to be used when you are bending over or sitting down. During these actions the fabric may pull tight and possibly tear at the area where the zipper begins. Remember to use the bottom zipper to alleviate stress in that area.
